Meredith Rosenthal, Ph.D.

Meredith Rosenthal, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of health economics and policy at Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Rosenthal received her Ph.D. in Health Economics at Harvard University in 1998 and is currently working on several evaluation projects in the areas of pay-for-performance, public reporting, and performance-based networks. She is assessing the impacts of these strategies on health plans and purchasers and how to best approach implementation of these tools. Dr. Rosenthal’s principal research interests are around economic incentives that influence consumer and provider health care decisions. She is on Harvard’s Committee on Higher Degrees in Health Policy as well as the Ph.D. Health Policy Admissions Committee. Dr. Rosenthal is also currently chair of the Massachusetts Special Commission on Physician Compensation.
