Amita Rastogi, MD, MHA

Dr. Rastogi is Chief Medical Officer of Prometheus with Bridges to Excellence (www.prometheuspayment.org). She is working on developing a new form of physician payment system that focuses on globally pricing episodes of care that would foster clinical collaboration among providers, making them accountable for the management of a patient's well-being through both quality and efficiency measures.

Prior to this, Dr. Rastogi was Senior Medical Director at Ingenix, a leading Health IT company, where she was nationally recognized for developing transparency tools to measure performance of hospitals and physicians with regard to quality and efficiency. Prior to this, Dr. Rastogi was Executive Vice President with Michael Pine and Associates, a Chicago-based national consulting firm where she developed customized solutions to improve quality of medical care through outcomes analysis and risk-adjustment techniques.

Dr. Rastogi is a Mayo-trained cardiac surgeon, certified in heart and lung transplantation, and has over 20 years of experience in the clinical arena as well as in clinical and health services research. She received her Masters in Health Administration degree from the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Kentucky. She is currently finishing her Masters in Biostatistics at the University of Chicago.
