John E. Brush, Jr., MD
John E. Brush, Jr., MD is a physician with Cardiology Consultants
in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Brush received his undergraduate degree
from Hampden-Sydney College and his medical degree from the
University of Virginia. He completed his internship and residency
at the University of Vermont School of Medicine and his fellowship
in cardiology at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Brush
was a staff physician at the University Hospital in Boston,
and a senior investigator in the cardiology branch at the National
Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute in Bethesda, Md. He has taught
at Boston University School of Medicine, and currently teaches
at Eastern Virginia Medical School in addition to having a
full time practice in Norfolk. Dr. Brush serves on the American
College of Cardiology (ACC) Board of Governors and is chair
of the ACC Quality Strategic Directions Committee. He is Chair
of the Cardiac Services Acute Myocardial Infarction Committee
and the Cardiac Services Best Practices Committee and serves
on the Cardiac Services Committee at Sentara Norfolk General
Hospital.
